H28 Christmas Rally
weekend
The weekend of 6th and 7th
December is the H28 Christmas Rally
weekend. It is primarily the Children’s
Xmas party, but you don’t have to have
children to join in. I have it on good
authority that some parents are keen to
loan their children if anyone is feeling
bereft. It is a fun weekend, and a great
opportunity to meet up, share a few
stories and have a great time.
The usual format is as follows:
Anchor in Islington Bay, and go ashore to the grassy area on the causeway between Rangitoto and
Motutapu with a picnic lunch and your enthusiasm.
If you have children, please wrap and name a
small gift for Santa to bring in his sack for your child.
There will be a variety of games for kids
young and old, for the fit and the not so fit.
Santa arrives around 3.00 pm, (if he can
find us tucked away on Rangitoto Island .)
Early evening we set up our barbies, toast each other, and enjoy H28’s
friendship, in the shelter of the Rangitoto
kiosk. Bring your own BBQ food and
drinks, and even something especially nice for Xmas festivities in the evening
if you wish.
Bring a sausage or bacon and eggs and champagne for Sunday morning brunch, which
we traditionally have ashore (probably in the kiosk).
If you have any doubts about the
weather or the venues, please contact Richard Legge phone 09 537 9464.
