Like the weather the
sailing over labour Weekend turned out to be a bit of ‘mixed bag’. A
combination of other events and various misfortunes meant that not everybody was
together at any one time.
Saturday saw Midas, Trailblazer, Weypago
and Lady Helen sailing down Lyttelton Harbour. They had a lunch time raft-up in Little Port Cooper (near Lyttelton Heads). As
they had ‘other engagements’ on Sunday Midas and Lady Helen returned.
Weypago and Trailblazer continued to Pigeon Bay where they were joined by Shardeloes.
Other happenings…
Sabina has engine
problems;
Dante is waiting for a
new propeller;
Solitude II was in the
haul-out yard;
Motu-iti was heading
north and was heard looking for a mooring in Kaikoura until a strong northerly
abated.
