Hi everyone,

our boats seem to have a hull/deck joint as per figure h) in this graph www.fao.org/docrep/003/T0530E/T0530E40.gif. Ours is leaking slightly through a fissure in the interior glass layer, and as I found after removing the rubrail today, there are only remnants of a sealant left (see pic). Rather than re-sealing the joint, I was considering fibreglassing it over, but am unsure whether there needs to be some flexibility in this joint? The other problem is, of course, getting moisture that's already in the joint out before doing a proper job of keeping new liquids out. Are there any success stories in this regard? Any hints or tips from folks who had similar issues?
