Hatch area – step in boat around about 12-14 inch hatch box set into cockpit – this prevents water from getting down below in the event of wave coming into cockpit – it is the same height as the seat – a continuation of the seat – also reduces the amount of cockpit water in the event of being swamped

4. Two 3×2 bearers through bow glassed in and these 3×2 run back to main bulkhead under the mast
